We are Laura and Tom Gowanlock. Following the birth of our son, we launched Gowanlock Photography, in order to indulge a lifelong passion and to work more flexibly. We are based in the town of Bury St Edmunds.

Laura. I have always been a keen landscape photographer, working at first with 35mm film and more recently switching to digital media. I studied photography at an evening class at the local college and at the Brook School of Photography in Dorset, and have since built up an extensive porfolio, particularly in the field of baby and child portraiture, on which I now focus.

As well as capturing stunning, contemporary portraits which I am sure you will treasure forever, I aim to create a personable, friendly atmosphere, where my clients can relax and have fun. I work from home, where I have full studio equipment, but I'm also happy to travel to a client's home and set up a mobile studio, or even to take the photoshoot outdoors - for example in a park or local place of interest.

Tom My expertise lies in the field of travel and landscape photography. I am currently studying for a diploma with the Institute of Professional Photographers. Upon completion I hope to concentrate on developing a portfolio of life-event photography - weddings, birthday parties, graduation photographs and stock photography, in order to diversify the business. I hope to add more of my personal work to the website in the coming months.
